Title: Holder system for holding holders to a bicycle
The invention relates to a holder system for holding holders such as bags and baskets to a bicycle, comprising a quick coupling with a first coupling part that can be fixedly connected to the bicycle and a second coupling part on the side of the holder.
A container system of this type is known, for example, from DE 103 40 877 A1. In the solution described therein, the coupling part is fixedly connected on the side of the holder to the bag or basket to be hung on the bicycle. This means that only bags or baskets, which are fixedly connected to the second coupling part on the side of the holder, can be hung on the bicycle via the quick coupling.
The invention has for its object to design the holder system of the type mentioned in the preamble in such a way that it can be used in a more versatile manner.
This object is solved according to the invention in that the coupling part on the side of the holder is connected to a support frame, which in the coupled state of the two coupling parts has a horizontal upper frame rod and a substantially flat frame surface extending downwards therefrom.
On the one hand, the holder system can be used in the manner known hitherto, wherein the holder, which is connected to a coupling part on the side of the holder, can be coupled to a coupling part on the bicycle side. On the other hand, when the carrier frame is connected to the bicycle-side coupling part, bags can be hung on the upper rod of the carrier frame which have hooks with which they are suspended in the usual manner from a bar of the luggage carrier.
The user can optionally hang such bags at the rear of the luggage carrier or at the front of the handlebar if he wants to use the luggage carrier for something else or needs additional carrying capacity. The carrying frame can be easily removed again via the quick coupling when a basket or a bag, which is fixedly connected with a coupling part on the side of the holder, has to be connected to the bicycle via the quick coupling.
To prevent a bag suspended from the supporting frame from sliding down from the upper frame rod, it is effective to provide end stops at the longitudinal ends of the upper frame rod.
The support frame effectively has tubular or rod-shaped edge spaces and a plate intended for connection to the coupling part on the side of the holder. As a result, the supporting frame is on the one hand stable and on the other hand has a low weight.
The coupling part on the bicycle side can be mounted on the handlebars themselves, on the handlebars or on the handlebars. Depending on the construction of the bicycle and depending on the manner of the holder to be attached, it is effective if the angle of inclination of the supporting frame relative to the bicycle is adjustable about a pivot axis parallel to the upper frame rod. To this end, at least one of the coupling parts can be connected to the bicycle or to the support frame via a lockable hinge. According to a simple but stable embodiment, it is proposed, for example, that the coupling part is connected on the bicycle side to a transverse intermediate part of a U-rack, the U-legs of which are directed transversely to the pivot axis and to the free end of a holder bracket attachable to a bicycle be connectable. For example, the holder bracket can be hung or fixed on the handlebar front. The hinge can be locked in a simple manner by virtue of the U-legs having a plurality of projection elements, which in each case define a pivot position of the U-bracket relative to the holder bracket. However, there is also the possibility that the U-legs each have circular arc-shaped longitudinal openings around the pivot axis, wherein mounting bolts engage to connect the holder bracket to the U-bracket.
For heavy bags, it is effective if the support frame is connected to a support intended for the handlebar to be received. In order to be able to adjust the position of the support to the dimensions of the handlebar or the handlebar, it is effective if longitudinal openings are formed in the plate of the support frame, which allow a shift of the connection position of the support to the support frame.
Further features and advantages of the invention follow from the following description, which in combination with the accompanying drawings illustrates the invention on the basis of exemplary embodiments. In the drawing:
FIG. 1 is a partially schematic perspective total view of a support frame mounted on a bicycle handlebar;
FIG. 2 one with FIG. 1 a corresponding view of the bicycle handlebar with only the coupling part on the bicycle side;
FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view of the coupling part on the side of the holder;
FIG. 4 is a schematic side view of the support frame with the coupling part mounted thereon on the side of the holder and a suspended bag indicated by dashed line;
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a holder bracket for fixing the coupling part on the bicycle side to a handlebar front;
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a support for supporting the support frame on the handlebar;
FIG. 7 - FIG. 10 different embodiments of a device with the holder bracket of FIG. 5 connectable lifting bracket and
FIG. 11 shows a further embodiment of holding the coupling part on the bicycle side on the bicycle.
The figures are essentially merely schematic representations of exemplary embodiments of the invention which do not serve as limiting examples. The figures are purely schematic and will not be to scale. In the figures, the same or corresponding parts are indicated with the same reference numerals.
In FIG. 1, a handlebar generally designated 10 is recognized with a handlebar 12, a handlebar front 14 and a handlebar 16 shown only in the form of a tube support. The handlebar 10 is coupled to a support frame to be described generally hereinafter generally designated with 18 . It comprises an upper frame bar 20, a side bar 22 whose lower ends are connected to each other by a U-shaped lower bar 24, as well as an intermediate bar 26 parallel to the upper frame bar 20. Between the upper frame bar and the intermediate bar is one with this frame plate 28 connected to both rods.
A quick-release coupling which comprises a coupling part 30 on the bicycle side (Fig. 2) and a coupling part 32 on the side of the holder serves to connect the supporting frame 18 to the handlebar 10. These parts are shaped in the way described in DE 103 40 877 A1 mentioned in the introduction. Reference is made to this publication for further details.
The coupling part 32 on the side of the holder is fixed on the rear side of the supporting frame 18 with the frame plate 28 (Fig. 4) and indeed with the aid of bolts (not shown) which pass through through holes 34 in the coupling part 32 on the side of the holder and engage holes 36 provided with screw bores, which are made on the frame plate 28.
The coupling part 30 on the bicycle side is screwed to the cross spacer 38 of a U-bracket, generally indicated by 40, which is shown in FIG. 7 and whose U-legs 42 are parallel to each other and are connected to the free ends of a holder bracket 44 (FIG. 5). The holder bracket 44 engages the handlebar front body 14 with the middle part 46 and engages the side legs 48 over the handlebar 16, to which the side parts 48 are each fixed with a clamp 50, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 show. The connection of the free ends of the holder bracket 44 to the U-legs 42 is via screw bolts 52 which pass through openings 54 in the U-legs 42. It is recognized that the U-bracket 40 is pivotable opposite the holder bracket 44 about the pivot axis defined by the bolt 52. In order to be able to fix a specific pivoting position, the 7 to FIG. 9 of the U-bracket 40 shown on the respective outer sides of the U-legs 42 projection elements 56. After the desired position of the U-bracket 40 relative to the holder bracket 44 is adjusted, the bolts 52 are tightened, whereby the end parts of the side legs 48 of the holder bracket 44 are pressed between two projection elements 56 in each case. As a result, the position of the U-bracket 40 relative to the holder bracket 44 and thereby relative to the handlebar front 14 is fixed. The in FIG. 7 to FIG. Embodiments of the U-bracket 40 shown in Fig. 9 allow only a limited number of discrete positions. A continuous adjustment in a certain range leaves the embodiment of FIG. 10. In this embodiment, longitudinal openings 58 are formed in the U-legs 42 in a circular arc about the openings 54. The side legs 48 can be fixed in any position relative to the U-bracket 40 with the aid of clamps and bolts which are not shown and which pass through the longitudinal openings 58.
In order to prevent the U-bracket 40 from pivoting beneath the load despite the locking, even at a higher load on the supporting frame 18, a support 60 is screwed on the rear side of the supporting frame 18, which support is intended to rest against the handlebar. 12, as shown in FIG. 1 is shown. The support 60 shown in FIG. 6 is fully shown, has one eye 64 at the free end of leg 62. Bolts (not shown) pass through these eyes 64 and longitudinal holes 66 provided in frame plate 28, with the aid of which the support 60 can be raised relative to the supporting frame 18. in order to be able to adjust the angle of inclination of the control rod on the one hand and on the other hand a support position adapted to the supporting frame 18.
The supporting frame 18 can be easily coupled over the associated coupling part 32 to the coupling part 30 on the bicycle side, or can be detached from it again. On the support frame 18 a device shown in FIG. The bag 68, shown in striped form, is hung with the aid of hooks 70. In order to prevent the hooks 70 from sliding laterally from the upper frame rod 20, the side rods 22 are provided at the upper ends with an inwardly bent extension 72, which in each case forms an end stop for the upper frame rod 20. This provides a possibility that, on the one hand, bags provided with hooks, which can usually only be hung on the luggage carrier, can also be hung on the handlebar holder system, wherein the usual function of the quick coupling for holding bags and baskets, which have a coupling part connected to the holder side. This provides a versatile container system.
The coupling part 30 on the bicycle side can thereby also be attached to other parts of the bicycle. It is thus that a coupling part 30 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 11 is secured via a support arm 74 known per se, which at the front end carries a holder plate 76 screwed to a coupling part 30, and a tensioning strap 78 is attached to the bicycle rod 12. Thus, the coupling part 30 can also be arranged in this way on a saddle bar over a rear wheel.
Although preferred embodiments have been shown and described in the drawings and in the foregoing description, they will be considered merely by way of example and not restrictive of the invention. It is to be noted that only preferred exemplary embodiments have been shown and described and that changes and modifications that now and in the future lie within the scope of the invention will be protected.
